Cordial Fire/EMS Education provides high-quality training programs approved by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) to support firefighters in obtaining certification and advancing their careers. Our courses meet TCFP and IFSAC standards, ensuring comprehensive training for fire service professionals.

Courses Currently Offered
Driver/Operator Courses
(Students must have access to an aerial device or engine, and their department must sign an MOU to participate.)

Driver/Operator – Pumper – Covers fire apparatus operations, pump mechanics, water supply management, and fireground hydraulics.

Driver/Operator – Training on aerial apparatus operations, ladder deployment, stabilization, and elevated firefighting tactics.
Fire Officer & Incident Command Courses
(Additional prerequisites apply; see eligibility requirements.)

Incident Commander – Prepares personnel for managing emergency incidents, including command strategies, resource allocation, and multi-agency coordination.

Officer I (Requires Instructor I) – Introduction to fire officer responsibilities, leadership skills, and company-level operations.

Officer III (Requires Instructor II and ICS 300) – Intermediate officer training covering strategic planning, budgeting, and department operations.

Hazardous Materials Training

Hazmat Incident Commander (Requires Hazmat Operations) – Advanced training in hazardous materials response, including incident assessment, risk management, and mitigation strategies.
Fire Instructor Development
(Requires three years of service as a Marine Firefighter, Structural Firefighter, Arson/Fire Investigator, Inspector.)

Instructor I – Fundamental principles of fire service instruction, including lesson planning, classroom management, and instructional techniques.

Fire Inspection & Investigation
(By request only for Fire Inspector I and II.)

TCFP Skills Exams Available
Cordial Fire/EMS Education is also an approved provider for TCFP Skills Exams. We offer skills testing for individuals seeking certification in any of the above courses. If you are going through another program

Eligibility Requirements for TCFP Courses & Skills Exams
To enroll in TCFP courses or schedule a skills exam, students must meet the following criteria:

FIDO Number – Students must have a FIDO number, which can be created on the TCFP website.

Age Requirement – Students must be at least 18 years old.
-
Medical Clearance – Some courses, particularly those involving live fire or physically demanding tasks, may require a physician-signed medical clearance form.

PPE Requirements – Courses and exams involving hands-on training or live-fire exercises require NFPA-compliant PPE and SCBA.

Out-of-State Applicants – If you are an out-of-state applicant, you must take both the written and skills exam in Texas. Once you pass the Texas written exam, you will be eligible for IFSAC Certification.

1. What types of fire courses do you offer? We offer a wide range of fire courses, including Fire Inspector Certifications, Instructor Certifications, Fire & Life Safety Educator Certifications, Firefighter Certifications, and specialized programs. Our courses cover fundamental skills, advanced fire inspection, and leadership training.
2. How do I enroll in a fire course? You can enroll in any of our fire courses by clicking the "Enroll Now" button next to the course description on this page. You will be guided through a simple registration process.
3. Are your courses available online? Yes, we offer both in-person and online courses to accommodate different learning preferences and schedules. Each course description will indicate whether it is available online, in-person, or both.
4. Can you travel to us for a course? Yes, for the majority of all of our programs, we can offer the course at your facility, online, or in a blended learning style. Please contact us either via email or phone to request a quote and tell us what services you require.
5. What certifications will I receive upon completing a course? After completing the course, you will be eligible to take the TCFP Written Exam for your specific discipline. Upon passing the exam, you will qualify for both the TCFP and IFSAC certifications.
6. Who are the course instructors? The course instructors are all professional first responders with years of service in the fire, emergency medical services, or police departments who are also certified instructors with teaching experience.
7. Do I need to purchase any materials for the courses? For most courses, all necessary materials are included. However, for AHA Instructor courses, instructors must purchase their instructor materials. Specific course descriptions will provide details on required materials.
8. What courses should I take? If you have trouble deciding which course or courses to take for your profession, please call or email us, and we will be happy to assist you in choosing the right options.
9. What kind of payment plans do you offer? You can apply for financing through PayPal, we are working on accepting other payment plans services. We are also able to invoice your company. Agencies can also apply for grants for example volunteer fire departments can utilize HB2604, and for EMS Agencies SB 8 funds.
10. What is your refund policy? Cancellation Policy: A complete refund of 100% will be granted if you cancel your course enrollment within 24 hours of registration or if the course is scheduled to begin more than 14 days from the registration date, unless any of the exceptions detailed below are applicable. Once a class has commenced or if you provide less than 24 hours' notice for cancellation, no refunds will be issued. A 25% refund will be processed for cancellations made when the course is set to start within 1-3 days. A 50% refund will be applicable if the course start date falls between 4-7 days from the cancellation date. A 75% refund will be available if the course is scheduled to commence more than 7 days in advance. Please note that refunds will not cover the expenses related to textbooks, shipping, or course codes if they have already been accessed or if textbooks have been shipped. These costs are non-refundable.
